Our savoir faire and craftsmanship to turn little cocoons into the most luxurious duvets is second to none. Our pure silk duvets are manufactured in our own dedicated workshop to our exacting standard of quality.

Blanc Cocoon duvets are the original "pure silk" duvets, where both the filling and casing are entirely made of silk. Unlike a cotton cased duvet, which retains moisture and is prone to dust-mites, our bedding provides incomparable comfort, breathability and true protection for allergy sufferers.
As we only use the best natural fabrics available, our duvets are cased in a rich silk charmeuse selected for its suppleness and durability. We don't cut corners and that is why you won't find any lightweight, common silk like habotai in our duvets!

  • Duvet weight:

Our duvets come in 3 weights, measured in grams per square meter (“gsm”).
Each weight relates to a recommended "comfort temperature range " as you can see in the table below.

  • Choosing the right duvet:

A pure silk duvet is very different to a traditional feather duvet. Silk has the property of keeping the body at a constant temperature and letting it breathe (this is, after all, the role of the cocoon).
You will never overheat under a pure silk duvet, and it will feel comfortable over a wide temperature range. Note that for an equivalent level of warmth, a pure silk duvet will always be significantly thinner and lighter than a down one.

Our duvets are manufactured to British standard sizes, for details go to our bedding size

  • Our pure silk duvets have incomparable advantages over traditional duvets:

Pure silk is wonderfully breathable and adapts to body temperature.
Our duvets feel gently cool in summer and cosily warm in winter.

Pure silk repels dust mites and has antimicrobial properties.
Our duvets are hence recommended to asthma sufferers and to anyone who doesn't want to compromise between health and comfort. Unlike most duvets that are cased in cotton, ours have a rich silk charmeuse shell to ensure protection as well as softness.

Pure silk is extremely supple and light. Our duvets which are entirely made of silk, including their casing, envelop the body with unique luxurious comfort.

Unlike down, silk won't become brittle overtime or trap dust ensuring that our duvets will keep their shape and properties for years.

We have selected the longest fibre floss and used a hand-tied method to ensure that the filling will stay in place over time.
The butterfly stitching on the duvets are additional anchor points to prevent any cold spots that are inherent to pocket-cased down duvets.

While the down and wool industries are intensive users of chemical and water, silk doesn't require any processing.
Straight from the cocoons, the silk that we have carefully selected is as kind to Nature as it is to our skin.
